I counted down to my special day…months became weeks…weeks turned to days, to hours to minutes and BAM! Turn up time 😀
April 23rd 2016 came and went indeed but it was rocked to the fullest.
About my party-
I themed it Fabulous @ 25, planned for 25 guests and gave the dress code as pink and/or black
It was amusing to see everyone but one turn out in black! Is it that we don’t have pink dresses?! I mean, we love pink right? As per girls abi? Even I was guilty! I suddenly realized I didn’t have a proper pink dress!
This seemed to be the general experience even amongst my friends. We ran out shopping last minute and saw pink shoes, pink tops, pink accessories etc but we didn’t see pink party dresses!
Its no wonder our go-to party outfit is the LBD and not the LPD
About my dress-
Incase you missed the tiara on my head there’s no way you could have missed my dress *lovestruck*. Everything about this dress is gorg- the sweetheart neckline, the low-cut back, the dress length, the GLITTERS!!!! I’ve been in love with this dress from the moment I first laid eyes on it. I bought it online, but first checked out the reviews from people who previously ordered it and everyone said one thing- #Perfection!…
I looked like I should be standing on top of a cake!
About my shoes-
These used to be my PLAIN black platform suede and then I got them #bedazzled to go with my dress. I bought the stones and glue from Wuse market in Abuja, just a day to my party.
About my cake- I had two cakes made. The first one was made to look like my dress (-the top layer had the sprinklers that resembled the glitters on my dress, and the bottom layer of the cake had the fluffy pink design. And then the black bow, same as on my dress). And the second cake was made with a barbie on top that was dressed exactly like me.
