Are you missing out on the important things?
As women, we are natural “worriers”. We can be necessarily hard on ourselves too! In addition to the pressure, expectations, limitations and standards that society lays on us.
You get to a certain age and you feel you’re not where you “should” be, you begin to compare your life with friends or just other women your age and you treat every birthday as an opportunity to indulge in unproductive regret and a cause of mounting anxiety.
Why do we do that to ourselves? Most of these things won’t matter in a couple of years…
Wherever you are in life, its likely not all that bad (if you compare it to where you’re coming from)
Frankly I think a young woman in her 20’s should be focused on building her career, doing some soul searching, having a lot of fun in her spare time, making mistakes and learning from them and not being pressured to get married! We’ve all got our lives to live, don’t let anybody pressure you and don’t pressure yourself either.
In my opinion It’s 10 times harder being a family woman and trying to get a career off the ground, no matter how supportive your spouse is.
Also, remember you can chase your dreams at whatever age…
You’re allowed to reflect on your life occasionally, but make sure to practice gratitude daily. Studies have shown that those who take time to list the things they’re grateful for regularly, feel better physically and emotionally than those who don’t.
April of each year is always such a big moment for me. First of all, I love to spoil myself all month long, as in I do absolutely anything I feel like, and for the past two years I’ve worn a tiara on my birthday, just because…I can! Last year, I took it up a notch and wore a tiara not just on my birthday but on the days leading up to it, so I decided that’s a new birthday tradition for me (quite easy to get used to *wink*).
We need to embrace our new ages and never for one second hate the idea of aging. Like WINE, I intend to get FINER with age. So if you think I’m hot now (which I absolutely am) you have no Idea how much hotter I’m going to be at 30, 35, 40… and I’ve been joking about this, but once I turn 40, when I’m done having babies, after gravity must have started to take its toll on my body, oh my gosh!!! I’m so gonna lift, tuck, suck, laser every single thing that aint sitting right…best believe that!
On a more serious note, IT’S 11 DAYS TO MY BIRTHDAY EYYYYYY!!!!!!
